You might have even tried some affiliate marketing, with companies such as Clickbank and Commission Junction. If you’re like most people, you probably aren’t being successful in your internet marketing efforts. I’ve tried the expensive easy methods and I’ve found that after spending a lot of money on Adwords and paid search-engine marketing the results never paid for the advertising.

If you still have the desire to own your own internet marketing business, you need a strategy that works. The best way to market on the internet is through articles, like the one you’re reading now. They’re free to post on article directories and every time someone clicks on the link, there is no cost to you. This is free advertising. What’s the catch? Articles take time to write and to post and they have to be unique. So this is not something you can do in 5 minutes. You have to have a plan.

That’s the secret – Make a plan and stick to it.

Starting now you will:

* Find a product you want to promote on the internet. Perhaps you can use an affiliate marketing site to search for the product.

* Using keyword generating tools, find the hot keywords that are used to find your product.

* Write 5 different reports about your chosen product. The report should be approximately 250- 600 words in length. Alternatively you can snatch an already written article from an article directory and re-write it using your own words. Article “spinning” software can help you with this.

* After you register with 5 separate article directories, post a different version of your article on each one. Always make sure to use the keywords you found in your research.

* Do the same thing tomorrow.

* Once you have successfully posted 25 articles, find another product and repeat.

How long will this take? It depends on how fast you can write. But if it takes you 30 – 45 minutes to write each article and another 5 minutes to post it, you’re done in less than 5 hours. Believe it or not people will read your articles, others will clip it for use on their website and because you have a link in your article back to your web page or blog, you will begin to have enough back links to rise up in the search engine rankings. The higher you rise in the rankings, the more free clicks you’re going to get. The result is free traffic, pre-sold on your product, clicking on your link and wanting to know more about it.
